The Game:
Sorry this report took a little longer to surface. I actually don't know how to write.
A bad game on the whole. In utter disarray. "Koyak", as in torn apart...
We were holding on good in the first half. In the 2nd half .. sigh...
Bad passes, poor coverage, non-existent support, off target, etc, etc.
We had difficulty getting our goals. Our first goal was actually an own goal gifted by Andrew (or Mike?). A little lucky we got the winning goal.
What got into us? What make us so vulnerable this time. Compared to the previous week, we had extra players, with exception of Jufri, the black were more or less the same. Time to seriously ponder.... we cannot play this way ..
OK Roy Keane, what is your say! Shoot it here, we got no Alex to censor them.
Injury:
None

I couldn't help but to accept Chai Liang's invitation after all has gone wrong..
Here's my 'neng-chiam' (2 cents) analysis of what went wrong. However it won't be a 'Roy Keane', ie. direct pin-pointing of any players..
Looking back, we actually played relatively allright until the last period of the 2nd half although there are some blunders - unforced error (as they used to say in tennis) throughout especially from goal kicks which luckily didn't do any damage.
Having said that, I want to emphasise the importance of our fullbacks (both left and right) supporting our goalkeeper during goal kick, and the centrebacks and midfielders to support the fullbacks in turns.. (if we're to improve) we really-really need to do lots of off-the-ball movement and supporting each other.
With Jufri playing, our defence as usual will have to play a bit deep
(the no offside rules doesn't help) to cope with their long balls and his running. Our central midfielders in this play will then have to fill the middle hole in between - to contain the opponent's attacking midfielders. We failed once too many in the midfield duels this time round resulting in them gaining confidence and keeping the pressure on us.. Peng Siew attacking through the centre, even Ah Choon (a defender) taking long shots, etc. Only when we pushed the defender higher (but risking the long balls and runs) towards the end that we managed to contain them and even scored - the 2nd goal really did relieve the pressure and allows us to play again..
Our incapability to keep ball during the 'twilight zone' period (which still baffled me) put us under even more pressure. This leads me to remind the team on the basic of pass and move.. The goalkeeper needs to understand the arts of goalkeeping as well.. one must know when to counter attack
and when to break the opponent's attack/rythm (by slowing down play).
Although the last 15 of 20 minutes was one of the team's worst display that I can remember, there are some positives.. a few among us did put up a good fight.. trying to rally the team spirit and played exceptionaly well themselves in a very poor team performance.. keep-up the good work!
As I'm sure we wouldn't want a repeat performance, we should know our positioning when attacking and defending in order to support one another as effectively as possible.. I hope to
discuss this before start of each game, and this should take the team up another level if all of us can put it to practice.
