PS: Sorry for the delay in writing this report. I was working on player profiles on our website.
Final Score:
6-0
(Peter 2, Choong Wei, Alvin, David, Hamdan)
Players:
Rudy and Chee Hua cannot make it. Tony and Chai Liang played for opposition. 10 aside game. Punctuality still a problem. We have to work more in this area.
We have David, Daniel, Francis and Steven as defenders, same as previous week. Midfielders Hai Yee, Alvin, Hamdan and Choong Wei. Striker Peter. Keeper Johnny.
The Game:
Hmm, it is strange writing from the opposition perspective.
The combination of Choong Wei, Alvin, Hamdan, and Hai Yee worked well against opposition's Yew Min, Han, David Ong and Tony. When attacking or counter attacking, it looked easy to move forward.
Surprising, we saw Francis getting a powerful shot that reveberated the posts. David getting great pass and manificent goal. Hamdan with a clever lob over marching keeper, Boon Huat. Choong Wei got close range that shot past defenders and reflected off keeper into goal. Peter got a header and low shot. Alvin also got a dip in the goal pot. There were many other missed chances.
But the contrast can be seen from the other end. What is lacking from the black is the midfield, the finishing and the little number chances. Several times there were good passes to the strikers but were unable to get beyond, Daniel-Francis 'blockade'. Or simply the ending connecting pass was disappointing.
Overall, I think the team played well. However, before we get too complacent, I think the Predators have a weaker mid field compared to us. Seems to me a one-sided game. If only we can redistribute the members for a more balanced game.
One can only improve playing against stronger team. That is one of the reason why I am willing to play for black.
What do you think?
Casualty:
This time No 3 got cramped in the last 5 minutes. Case of too much goal keeping for past weeks, and suddenly run too much, playing centre back and sometimes midfield.
Prepayment Accounting (this part for my own note):
just in case you curious, i am deducting our appearance fees from the field booking i paid.
