Final Score: 2-2 (Edmund o.g., Tony: Ngee Yong?, Chai Liang 0.g.)
Players: Alvin, Chai Liang, David, Francis, Hai Yee, Steven, Tony, Ken, plus some guests from small field players
The Game: Both sides were severely short of players after the recent injuries ... The early rain did not bode well. Thankfully, most of us are regular die-hard-must-play-every-week-regardless-of-weather type of players.
Even then we were still short of players. Not only us, even the regulars who played the small field did not have sufficient numbers as well (due to the rain). Out of goodwill and spirit of the game, we invited them to join us play, in a win-win situation.
The guest players mingled well on both sides, but we played a much decent controlled game compared to previous week. All of us are hardworking, but with the wet slippery field, we tended to be too cautious after previous week's incidences.
Chai Liang scored another freak-cross-that-went-out-but-tapped-in-by-goalkeeper shot. Thanks to Edmund. Tony scored the convincing goal that seemingly sealed the game. But second half, we let in as many goals to end the game in draw. Of note Chai Liang's own goal was an attempted save that simply trickled in.
If Peter's relative Andreas is coming as commented, in previous report, we can look forward to more interesting games ahead.
Injury: News of Andrews hand was not good. Apprently he broked the connection of bones joining the bottom part of the wrist to the forearm. The doc had to reposition the wrist back before putting the hand on cast. He could be out for at least six months and possibly more.
