Match Report - Jan 07, 2006

Final Score:
0-0

Players:
Chai Liang, Choong Wei, Danial, Francis, Hai Yee, Rudy, Steven, Tony, YK, Hamdan, Johnny

The Game:
Today Rudy and Wyai Kay gets to start the game as strikers. Danial playing keeper this time. Steven, Johnny, Francis and me plays the back line.

Steven had a tough time chasing the white guys running down our left flank. I had miscommunication with keeper, though we sorted it out by second half.

Second half, we have Tony switching with Wyai Kay for the striker's role. But what was baffling was the introduction of the white team's forward. The big guy usually plays defence. For a short while his forward role confuses our back line.

Could it be that the other team was playing for draw? By keeping the skillful players on the back line and midfield and rely on counter attack? There was once were counter attacked with 5 players against our 4 back players. Fortunately their passes were intercepted and our team recover back in time.

Hai Yee missed a clear chance, I had a volley that went wide. (My! It was shiok hitting that!) Rudy and Choong Wei also had their chances. But it was Tony misses, which everyone took oppurtunity to shout at him haha..

At the end, Wyai Kay had a tackle in the box which should have been a penalty... But we did not shout for it.

For a rare second time, we ended the game with a draw.

Today I was suppose to have 13 players. That means 2 for substitute. But 3 did not turn up and we end up with just 10 players. Had to borrow players from the other team... Where is the commitment?

Injury:
none
