The Game:
Today we played a combined red-white game against Jufri's relative's HP team.

Initially we were a bit apprehensive when we notice that our opponents were mostly young players. Most of them were malay players. And one of the central defenders had the body size that should be playing rugby. On top of that we would be playing offside, which we don't normally do.

The game started with the referee coming late. The opponent were fast. We made up with our determination. First goal came from Choong Wei, when his 'cross'-shot went over the keeper from tight angle. Jufri scored the second goal of the first half.

In the second half, we have better control of the game. The opponent were a bit worn out. Also noticeable is that they move their defence line up, forcing offsides on us. At the same time putting more pressure on us. We made sure most of our counter attack counted. This is evident in 5 goals we had.

Tony scored from a header from a corner. Peter surprised all of us when he ran faster than everyone, including Jufri, to score his one on one with the keeper. Hamdan two great goals, one of it a brilliant unexpected left legged shot. Jufri lobbed over the rushing keeper.

There two occasions we were really in danger when their strikers went through. Fortunately, both their shots went wide. Many times we were blown for offsides.

In conclusion, we had 2 good coach who knew the best team line up. Our team fought hard for every ball, and won back many balls. It also does show that our weekly game does help in our stamina level, especially in the second half. Some of our older folks ran faster than the other younger players. We also had many players on substitute that we never had any problem with stamina. Most of us played well beyond our expectation.

We had good complementing mixtures of both teams. We had good players in every positions. Of note, I am very impressed of Edmond's last man role, in total control of our defence line.

The clean sheet was hard earned. The big goal margin was very unexpected.

Injury:
none
