The Game:
This time we have quite a bit of answer. The 2 halves explained the difference in our performance. The tactics in the second half worked better. The difference? It lies in the defence line?
In the first half our defence line were close to penalty areas and did not move up enough. When we were counter attacked most of the midfielders and forwards were way too far away to be back in time. This allowed the blacks to move beyond the midfield into our half of the field easily. Midfield atttacks is where the strength of the blacks. Also in the first half we lacked creativity in the midfield and attack. We could not score even a goal.
In the second half we with played with higher defence line, moving all the way up to the midfield. This somehow added some midfield strength. First line of defence against the black counter attack happened at the midfield rather than at our half of the field. We are able to intercept most of the attacks at midfield and feed the ball back for our counter attack. Even Francis and myself got a chance to shoot at the goal (although way off target).
Well, a few the strikes from the black got through especially with those long balls. But somehow we manage to salvage those situations. It was a much effective way to play.
Temperamental wise, we seem to have sobered up. Good job with those "liang cha" and yoga.
